Frequently Asked Questions:

What can I expect from my intro call?

When you reach out to inquire about counseling, you can expect one of our therapists to call you for a brief conversation within 24 hours.  During that call, you will be offered an opportunity to ask the therapist questions and to provide a basic sense of what it is that you hope to gain from counseling.  You will also receive information about available openings, fees, and the therapist's perspective on the therapy process.

What can I expect from therapy sessions?

Therapy sessions last 50 minutes and take place either in-person or virtually (audio and video required). Sessions are scheduled on a regular cadence (i.e. weekly, biweekly, monthly) depending on your goals. Each session will be structured to maintain focus on your therapeutic goals while also offering space to process any new concerns or experiences that arise during our work together.

Do you see children?

No, at this time, we do not provide therapy services for children. Our practice focuses on working with individuals aged 18 and older. If you’re seeking therapy for an individual under 18, we recommend consulting a provider who specializes in child and adolescent mental health. We are happy to provide referrals if desired.

Do you take insurance?

No, we do not accept insurance at this time. However, we can provide a superbill (a detailed receipt) upon request, which you may submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. We recommend checking with your insurance company to understand your out-of-network benefits before beginning therapy.

What is the cost of therapy?

The cost of therapy varies depending on the service and provider you are seeing. We strive to make therapy accessible and offer a sliding scale for individuals in need of financial assistance. For specific pricing details or to discuss sliding scale options, please reach out via our contact form, and we’ll be happy to provide more information.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes, we offer virtual therapy sessions for those who prefer or require remote access. However, when possible, we encourage in-person sessions, as they allow for a more nuanced and interactive discussion platform. Both options provide a supportive and confidential space, and we’re happy to work with you to determine what best fits your needs.
